The Broad Ripple Flower Alley is a PASSION PROJECT that organically took shape in August of 2019 between a couple of neighbors
Deborah Jacobs/Alan Leerkamp & Chad Fallis/Adolphus Fifer
wanting to share the love with the community
- by beautifying it.
We LOVE watching our alley BLOOM year round and GROW!
The original 4 flower alley murals were:
Poppies, Red Roses, Sun Flowers and then the Morning Glories...
The alley has substantially spread and multiplied since!

Opening our garage doors will never be a dull moment again! We always end up greeting or meeting someone new that is smiling right back at us, often complimenting or thanking us for providing this colorful stretch of walking path...
We love to hear from you!
Our beloved neighbor Jim Korn, joined in on the fun in the Fall of 2020 with a mural of his own depicting a field of Indiana corn...
#begrateful (in reference to the Grateful Dead.)
At that point Jim was ALL IN starting quite the RIPPLE EFFECT with his new born tradition of offering live music to the community in the flower alley: The SPRING & FALL REVIVALS.
"CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE?!"
Don't miss the next one!
Jules Muck is born in England, a graffiti and mural artist now based in Venice, California. She and her tight knit crew (Kyle and Dada, aka the boys) have been on a cross-country journey to stop and paint wherever the demand for her art surges... Working with Jules (IS SO MUCH FUN!) created enough buzz to get that momentum we needed to get enough people to want to join in: Jules's art is not only beautiful but she works so insanely fast that it truly helped the neighbors/community get a quick idea of what things could/would look like and get on board!
Though' Jules will gladly tell you that that "speed" we are all so flabbergasted by only took her 30 years to achieve...
It's magical and addicting to watch her work.
Even though the project started with Jules Muck murals, the Broad Ripple Flower Alley is of course not limited to her work. On the contrary, we encourage a vast and diverse participation! The more the merrier, & the more culturally interesting!
Anytime someone reaches out looking for an artist when interested in taking part, we share the information of all artists that have part taken to the project so far, such as Abigail Staffelbach and Megan Jefferson as well as all the mural artists that have reached out expressing wanting to participate, leaving it up to the homeowners to pick the artist, style, vibe, medium they most identify with.
The project started with four murals in 2019 and quickly rooted itself in the neighborhood.
It originated in the alley between Carrollton Ave and Guilford Ave at 61st and has been spreading since.
The very first Broad Ripple Flower Alley mural was the Poppies at the back of 6109 Carrollton ave. The second garage was painted with the stunning Red Roses at the back of 6107 Carrollton Ave, followed by the joyful Sunflowers at the corner of 61st... Morning Glories on the old barn were fourth and the garden just kept growing after that!
